The year of 1899 marked a starting point in the history of GAMMA Company. At that time a steam dye-house was opened in Moscow: its manufacturing facilities provided a solid foundation of the factory nowadays known as the ancestor of the modern GAMMA Company.

The period of 1914-1917 turned out to be the years of an active reconstruction of the company as well as its quantitative and qualitative growth. The number of employees increased from 14 up to 130. In the beginning of 1917 the enterprise manufactured artists’ oil colors, lacquers, inks and canvases. The production developed quickly; in a short time the company launched their new products – their own pigments manufactured in accordance with the most advanced technologies of that time. The production growth was accompanied with the development of traditions – the company strongly adhered to high quality manufacture.

In 1927, the company became famous around the world owing to its chief consultant, Professor F. Rerberg, who was a world-class specialist of his time.

On his initiative the company organized its own laboratory which conducted a constant research aimed to improve the quality of products and the increase their assortment.

1994 – The GAMMA Company, nowadays a world-famous enterprise, was officially registered under this trademark.

1998 – The company started modernizing the production and installing new technological equipment.

1999 – The GAMMA Company participated in the international PAPERWORLD fair in Frankfurt-am-Main.

The company started delivering their products to Europe and the USA.

At present the Joint-Stock Company GAMMA is one of the leaders of this industrial branch, combining old masters’ quality traditions and the newest contemporary technologies. An accurate and competent approach to the work allowed the company to achieve a new modern quality level: the Gamma products are in great demand on the market.

The GAMMA products successfully passed through the expert’s tests and the company became a prizewinner of the First All-Russian Contest “Children get only the best!” The GOLD MARK “CHILDREN GET ONLY THE BEST!” confirms the goods’ high quality. The company was awarded the GOLD MEDAL for its achievements in trade and production of children’s goods for children’s creative activity.

In 2004 and 2005 the GAMMA Company was named “THE BEST MANUFACTURER OF CREATIVE PRODUCTS”. According to the decision taken by the Public Expert Council for Arts’ Festivals “THE BEST IN RUSSIA”, the GAMMA Company was awarded for putting a lot of efforts into the formation of a civilized consumers’ market in Russia.
